The annual Rochester Step-Off is the culminating event in the Rochester Step-Off Educational Foundation’s (RSO) year-long efforts to improve the academic and social performance of youth in Rochester. The RSO, which is dedicated to reducing barriers that impede success in high school and encouraging the pursuit of a college education, puts on this high-energy, high-visibility event to showcase the talents and academic accomplishments of its participants.
The competition, which is expected to draw between 5,000 and 7,000 spectators, will feature 250 participants from 14 Rochester area schools.
