
There are many ways you can help The Community Place fulfill its mission of strengthening our community. Here are a few:

Assistant SACC Program Manager
Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager is primarily responsible for data collection, input, and accuracy. S/He is also responsible for coordinating the registration processes and procedures for the SACC out-of-school time programs (after-school and summer camp).
Part-time Life Coach
Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Life Coach will be responsible to lead and implement group activities and monitor after school programs for assigned groups of youth in accordance with the division’s strategic plan. This is 9 month position beginning mid-September and ending mid June of every year with potential for summer employment in the Summer Camp.
Health & Safety Specialist (Temp Summer Camp)
Under the direct supervision of the Summer Camp Manager, the Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for the Supervision of all health needs and sanitation conditions of camp.
Enrichment Specialist (Temp Summer Camp)
Under the direct supervision of the Camp Manager, the Enrichment Specialist will be responsible to lead and implement group activities, and monitor summer camp activities for assigned groups of youth in accordance with the summer camp plan.
Life Guard (Temp Summer Camp)
The Head Lifeguard for summer camp of The Community Place of Greater Rochester provides proper surveillance and supervision of swimmers participating in all water activities. S/he will take the necessary steps and action to prevent accidents or injuries that could arise from improper action or behavior and respond to emergencies in a calm and effective way. Lifeguards are part of an emergency response team and at no time should leave swimming areas.
Camp Counselor - 14 positions open
Under the direction of the Summer Camp Assistant Site Manager, the Camp Counselors works as a team member to provide positive social enhancement, academic and vocational development to youth from various ethnic backgrounds. This is a six week summer position. The Camp Counselor will be responsible to lead the group for which they are designated with assistance of another Camp Counselor (two per group).
