ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 1, 2009)– Face painting, coloring eggs, a picture taken with the Easter Bunny – all these and more will be featured activities for children at the Community Place annual “Lunch with the Easter Bunny” Saturday, April 4.
Artistic talents will be celebrated in a coloring contest, and the best guesser will win a prize for guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar.
The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Place, 145 Parsells Ave., is open to children from infants to age 13. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Registration is required. Attendees will be charged $2 per person to help offset the cost of the meal. Contact Khadia Yawn at 288-0221 to register and for additional information.
The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit human services agency that helps strengthen communities from the inside out. A wide range of programs and services support families, youth, the aging and people with developmental disabilities, addressing consumer needs in the communities where they live. Innovative programs such as HOST (Housing Opportunities for Sustainability and Transition) have received national recognition.
The Community Place was formed from the merger of the Genesee Settlement House, the Lewis Street Center, and Eastside Community Center. The organization serves the northeast sector of Rochester and the Greater Rochester area, reaching more than 9000 individuals annually.
