ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 23, 2006) – The Community Place of Greater Rochester will be presenting a “Meet the Candidates” Night Voter’s Awareness Program tomorrow, October 24 th, at 6:30 p.m. at 1245 Culver Road (St. Mark’s and St. John’s Church).
“Meet the Candidates” Night will provide a forum for candidates vying for a wide range of city offices. The annual event normally draws a large crowd of community members from the northeast quadrant of the city (The Community Place’s main service area). The Community Place hopes that those in attendance will learn how the candidates’ policies will directly affect them and understand how they can use their power as voters to shape the political and social landscape of their community. Refreshments will be served.
The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit provider of neighborhood-based human services that offers a variety of programs and services to individuals, families, children, the aging, and the developmentally disabled living in the greater Rochester area.
