Breakfast with Santa Event to Give More Than 1,000 Toys to 250-300 Children Living in Northeast Quadrant of City

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 16, 2005) – Saturday, December 17th, The Community Place of Greater Rochester (CPGR) is holding its annual Breakfast with Santa event to ensure that children living in its service area (the northeast quadrant of the city) have a happy holiday season. The event will take place at CPGR’s facility at 145 Parsells Avenue from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The Community Place expects to give more than 1,000 toys to upwards of 300 children. Children will also have a chance to sit on Santa’s lap, and all in attendance will be served a full breakfast. Pre-registration for the event is required and can be done by calling (585)288-0021. All children must be accompanied by an adult. In order to offset the cost of the meal, attendees will each be charged $2. The toys were donated from a wide range of organizations and individuals.

The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit human services agency that provides a variety of programs and services to individuals, families, children, seniors, and the developmentally disabled living in Rochester’s Northeast Quadrant.
