What: “Lift Every Voice” Open Mic Event
When: February 10 th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Spot Coffee, 200 East Avenue, Rochester
In recognition of Black History Month and to celebrate the contributions of African-Americans to music and literature, The Community Place of Greater Rochester (CPGR) is holding an Open Mic Night at Spot Coffee. The event will feature performances and dramatic readings from youth involved in CPGR’s youth programs. There will also be the opportunity for interested performers, musicians, and attendees to perform, especially those that wish to perform songs or readings by African-American musicians and writers.
The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit human services agency that provides a variety of programs and services to individuals, families, children, the aging, and the developmentally disabled living in Rochester’s Northeast Quadrant.
