The Community Place Names New
Chief Operating Officer

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 3, 2006) – The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. (CPGR) has named Sue Davin chief operating officer. Davin will oversee the daily operations of CPGR and its seven program departments, including: Family Services, Aging Services, Developmental Disabilities Services, Early Childhood Services, After School and Summer Programs, Youth Development Services, and Rochester Step-Off. She will also be responsible for various other community development efforts. Davin replaces Liz Martin who retired in December.

Davin brings a wealth of knowledge to her position having been involved in many capacities in the field of human services. Her most recent stint was at Charles Settlement House, Inc., where she held various positions over 15 years, most recently as vice president of administration.

“Sue’s skills and abilities, shown by her professional track record in the areas of collaborative management and partnership building, are both timely and necessary for the advancement of the quality of our human service delivery,” said Rod Jones, president and chief executive officer, CPGR.

The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit provider of neighborhood-based human services that offers a variety of programs and services to individuals, families, children, the aging, and the developmentally disabled living in the greater Rochester area.
