ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 14, 2008) – Youth in The Community Place of Greater Rochester’s Youth Adult Partnership Project today will present a representative from the neonatal unit at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong with quilts they made by hand. The small ceremony will take place at 145 Parsells Avenue at 4:30 p.m.
The youth, ages 14-21, made the quilts with the help of Gloria Stewart, a local quilter. The Youth Adult Partnership Project brings together youth and adults stakeholders from Sector 8 in the City of Rochester to plan and implement activities that will improve the quality of life within Sector 8. Youth are trained and taught leadership skills as well as provided opportunities to participate in government and community processes.
