Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Programs
Hours: 30 hours per week
Required Responsibilities:
Provide in-home support to family child care providers participating in the child care food program (CACFP), monitor meals, oversee paperwork, and data entry.
Qualifications:
Position requires minimum high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year previous experience in family day care. Must be able to communicate in Spanish (written and verbal).
- Must have the ability to work well with child care providers in their homes, as well as working with representatives of other social services agencies.
- Have the ability to develop a full working knowledge of the CACFP program.
- Be familiar with the current NYS Family Day Care regulations.
- Possess good record keeping and reporting skills.
- Willing to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Must possess own transportation and a current valid NYS Drivers License.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Example of Required Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on family day care homes.
- Maintain all necessary food program paperwork.
- Enter data into the computer.
- Provide technical assistance to prospective providers.
