Quality Assurance Coordinator

Summary

To develop, implement, monitor, review and evaluate contracting arrangements for the DDY Program in accordance with program contracting, and procurement policies and procedures. The Quality Assurance coordinator is required to ensure that the objectives and mission of the disability services program are implemented and aligned within all services that are offered and contracted.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Through close liaison with the Director and program management staff team, contribute to the development, maintenance and quality assurance of program contracting policies and procedures.
  2. To contribute to the team’s effectiveness by helping to develop and share good practice and keeping up to date with relevant professional developments.
  3. Provide specialist advice and guidance on contracting and related issues to staff in Disability Services.
  4. To ensure that contracts, grants and equivalent arrangements include specific and measurable criteria in relation to:
    • unit costs
    • outcomes
    • quality assurance
    • staff training
    • service standards
    • equality and diversity
  5. Facilitate and coordinate formal review meetings and form QA committee to ensure monitor and implement quality control process.
  6. Undertake compliance action where appropriate.
  7. In conjunction with Managers and staff in Disability Services to develop collaborations and relationships with a range of Service Providers In particular to be responsible for compiling and maintaining information on the supply, location and quality of provision of services available to meet community service needs.
  8. Ensure all entitled payments are claimed in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory, contractual and CPGR’s requirements.
  9. To develop innovative service approaches to achieve positive outcomes for consumers.
  10. To fully involve disability staff and Managers in the development of Disability services arrangements.
  11. To develop a partnership working approach with statutory, voluntary and independent agencies in relation to disability services issues.
  12. Provide professional and timely verbal and written reports to ensure the governance committee, CEO, advisory committees, management team, funding bodies and other stakeholders are well informed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Highly developed knowledge of the Disability Sector and related policy and legislation including the ability to write policies and procedures related regulatory compliance.
  • Strong team and leadership skills and proven experience in operational planning, auditing procedures, development, and staff, finance and resource management.
  • Proven ability to interpret and act on contracts, guidelines and other relevant program documentation and monitor, meet and exceed relevant performance Indicators
  • Ensure services are provided with dignity, patience and trust, to promote a high quality of life for individual recipients.
  • Excellent administration, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently operate computer data programs including internal and external data collection systems, MS Office and the internet.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in human services, counseling or related field; Master’s highly desirable. Four years of professional experience dealing with the provision of disability services to individuals/families. A valid NYS drivers license background/fingerprint check is a requirement for this position.
