Summer Traveling Camp Site Manager

Classification: Full-time/Seasonal

General Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Leadership and Character Development, the Camp Director is responsible for the daily operation of summer camp.

Qualifications:

Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field with at least two years experience working in a leadership position in a structured youth program.
Acceptable – Associate’s Degree with at least four years experience working in a leadership position in a structured youth program.

Example of Required Responsibilities:

Supervision of summer camp staff.
Provide support to summer camp staff in implementing camp activities.
Work with campers, families and camp staff to ensure a healthy, happy, well- adjusted camp experience.
Coordinate, plan and implement all camp activities such as field trips, specialty programming, etc. based on weekly themes.
Address camper/staff disciplinary concerns.
Ensure the health and safety of all campers.
Actively engage campers, families, and collaborative partners.
Maintain accurate records.
Document and report all incidents to Director of Leadership and Character Development.
Monitor and report meal program.
