On August 7th we held the inaugural Community Place Challenge sponsored by generous $1000 donations from both Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and The Summit Federal Credit Union. Together we were able to raise $5045 that will support the vital programs of The Community Place of Greater Rochester. These programs which provide the people of Rochester with services ranging from pre-school students to senior citizens; people with developmental disabilities to individuals and families in need looking to improve their lives. Each program contains an element of health and wellness as a building block as we believe that healthy bodies build strong communities. Teams from Excellus BCBS and Summit FCU battled for the top spot on the golf course but the real winners were The Community Place of Greater Rochester and the people we serve.
