The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. (CPGR) ensures the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality developmental and social programs and services to residents in the northeast sector of Rochester, New York and throughout the greater Rochester area.

The Community Place provides neighborhood-based services and, utilizes a collaborative approach that allows partnerships with other best-in-class public and private agencies to offer the best services possible. The agency formed in 2001 from the merger of Lewis Street Center, Genesee Settlement House, and Eastside Community Center, has settlement house roots that stretch back 100 years. We still hold strong to the goal of providing everyone, regardless of social or economic background, with the best society has to offer.

  What's New: March 2010

***** Movies at the Little was a success! Almost 50 friends and supporters of CPGR and Threshold enjoyed a movie and benefited our agencies at the same time! Thanks to everyone who attended?

*****Thank you for your help! Many friends and organizations shared the holiday spirit with us -- and helped make a happy holiday for families in our area. On Saturday, December 12, over 350 young people and their families had Breakfast with Santa.

*****On Thursday, November 5, friends of The Community Place and Threshold Center gathered for a Wine Tasting at Tapas 177 to taste Spanish wines and sample some delicious appetizers. It was a fund raiser and great fun. Thank you to all who supported our agencies.
