As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded of how powerful a caring community can be. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Charles Settlement House and The Community Place of Greater Rochester have overcome many challenges this year.

Your support has kept food on tables, provided safe spaces for children to learn and grow, and ensured that older adults in our community remain connected and cared for. Because of you, we were able to give 100 neighborhood children the opportunity to experience summer camp, building memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Even in the face of funding cuts and uncertain times, we kept every member of our team employed so that our services to the community remained strong and uninterrupted and our programs have continued to make a difference every single day.

While we are proud of what we’ve accomplished together, the truth is our work is far from over. Programs like these are the foundation of stability for so many in our community. Families continue to struggle with the rising cost of living, and funding continues to shrink even as the need grows. Children and teens need safe, supportive programs more than ever, and families and seniors are counting on us to stay connected to the care and services they depend on.
